No more pain! No more drama! How could you? Why did you? I'm out! Leave me alone! The list could go on and on. These are some of the bitter words you could expect to hear from some couples who are getting divorced. A familiar line in the traditional wedding vow says, 'till DEATH do us part.' More recently this has changed to, 'till DEBT do us part.' Is this the sole reason for the high divorce rate in America? Divorce can be caused by a host of reasons. Some of these are infidelity, sexual incompatibility, differences in priorities and expectations, child rearing, religious and cultural strains, boredom and financial issues. I strongly believe the high divorce rate in America now is caused from financial issues and the war in Iraq.
Couples now in America are faced with a serious battle of trying to control finances. Some are losing their houses, cars and their jobs. This can cause great negative impact on families. Couples tend to get frustrated with these constraints and this can lead to never ending arguments. These financial downfalls can lead individuals in marriage to seek help elsewhere. Some may start seeing someone new to get help, and some may start to indulge in smoking or drinking.
The war in Iraq could be providing jobs for some but it is breaking many families apart. Husbands and wives are separated due to the fact that one is away in war. This may lead to one or the other becoming lonely and then infidelity comes next.
The painful part about divorce is that it does not only affect the couple. It has great impact on the children (if there are any) from the union. This can lead to a battle over which home they will live in. New child rearing issues could arise, jealousy in many arenas, emotional disturbances and a host of other new issues. Though it is quite obvious that American marriages are breaking apart more often than twenty five years ago, there are many ways that couples can attempt to solve some of the problems in their marriage;( for the ones solvable , that is.) Some may think that Alimony is great, while some will settle for ALL the money! What do you think? I don't think one should remain in a marriage that has deteriorated but I believe couples should try as best as possible to solve the problems before opting for divorce.
I keep asking myself why is there so much injustice in this world? Why is it there are so many improper detentions? Why? Why? How is it America is so powerful and tries to control people so often? Does America have a right to be treating people this way?
Sometimes I get worried about the future and where I stand in this country. On the other hand, at times, I feel as if I do not care. Sometimes it can be so stressing to hear about some of the weird ,cruel, and unjustified situations that some people are forced to tolerate in this country. I keep wondering when next or who next will this unfair justice system crucify?
Why detain people, not having any solid proof of anything and ill-treating them along with that? The real question is, can any of us in America feel safe? What if these folks have a greater plan to destroy America or to retaliate seriously? It gets scary sometimes. Are we trying hard enough to make the justice system any better or are we just feeling hopeless?
While watching this video of the detainees telling their story I was very hurt. No, I was none the least surprised that they told their sad tales of how they were treated in a barbaric manner; kicked, punched, etcetera. I am more surprised that they survived! Do you think one day (just being optimistic) that America's justice system will change to actually reflect TRUE justice? I am so happy that I am not connected to these detainees in any way. I really feel pity for them and their families. Is it that America is not capable of having a real, valued justice system for certain folks? This is sad. What can we do, if anything?
Well, when I viewed the lists on this site I thought, whatever. Do you really care?I don't know exactly if this author was trying to ridicule white people in a sense. At some point I think he is. Do liking these things highlighted in the lists make some people white? Is it white in skin tone or white in mentality?
Honestly, I really personally do not care what you, he, she, Kunte, Tecumseh, or whomever likes! This will not change me or affect the world much. Some of the things in this list appear to be hilarious, some stupid, some interesting and some boring. Matter of fact, the entry on the list about white people like being excessively early for class!!! I was freaking out! I thought ,"I guess he is not talking about the students at GSU!" As for the entry about white people liking to be empathetic to the poor; I wanted to believe this a little but I think he is really trying to send them a message. What do you think? Do they really do?
Please also send me the site for the list that black folks like. I am getting excited about this. Then if there is a list for any other major group please send it to me so I can check it out. Maybe I could attempt to start the black list. Blacks like justice, blacks like to be in court (as victims), blacks like to be chased by cops? What is your take? Ah hah! I got you. You are wondering now, right? Was he just trying to play ironical! Am I? I am of th eimpression that the author is trying to send white a message in some aspects of the list.
How about just seriously make a site of th elist of stuff blacks like? Maybe there is one. If so, please, someone send it to me. Iwould like to also like to get you guys to think about this. I have wondering for a while now why is it certain words are spelt certain way. For example, BLACKmail, BLACKsheep,BLACKlist,BLACKops, BLACKfoot and the list could go on. Just think about it. Are these black words all positive?
