When I read this question about if I were to know my time and means of death, if I would like to know yes or no. I was like, what the hell is up with this sadist? Then I said , I have heard this question before. This sounds close enough to some stuff I've heard some pastors scare people about at church. Well my answer remains the same.
Okay. Here goes. On Thursday,December 25,2008 at 5.59a.m. you will die. A bomb will explode on your lap while you are unwrapping your first gift given to you by your only child. Your relatives will be there watching her parts shatter all over the room. How gross! How sad! This would spoil your Christmas and also make your family sad. What if you knew this and then changed all your plans, interrupt all your plans and make an ass out of all and it nothing happens. Well you win; but still in pain. The fun you could have had would have been gone. If you knew then you would probably cancel Christmas! My oh my. Don't you think this is ridiculous? My take is what must be ,will be so...
I like surprises! Hell no,I wouldn't want to know. Knowing would be too stressful for me as well as my family. I would spend too much worthwhile days living to die instead of enjoying life. Life is way too short for me to be worrying about my time of death. The Supreme Being who has the will and power to take life will do as He sees fit when He sees fit. For the time being I will continue live, love, eat, learn, talk, read, blog, recreate, help who I can (when I can) and anything else I can do as a person.
Is there any genuine purpose in knowing? Well, if I should know, I would try to do too many things in too little time at one occasion and this would burden me.(or stress me out, causing me to die before the set time). Anyway, I'm enjoying life. I am grateful. Though, honestly, sometimes I wish I could restart some parts of my life and make some alterations but hey,I can't so...It is written (somewhere) that if you don't like the past change it. So since, I can't change the past, I'll do my best to savor the future.
Folks, lets not sit and pine over our time of death. Lets just live, be happy, be healthy, and do our best at whatever we do (assuming you are doing positive stuffs). Life is good! Enjoy it while it lasts!

CELL PHONE Dilemma
Have we allowed the use of cell phones to consume us? Were we surviving before the invention of cell phones? Guys, come on. You know what I mean.I do agree that a cell phone can be important for hosts of reasons but not 24/7 usage! Please! Stop for a mere minute and take note of the vast number of persons you notice daily texting or conversing (with cell phones), on the bus, the train, on the streets or while driving!
There is a next trend too where students will be texting during class sessions. Are they texting stuff about the subject being taught? Well, if yes, fine. If the phone is placed on vibrate; some will vibrate ever so often during the most inconvenient times and sometimes oh so often.((((()))). Some folks continiuosly search their phone to check if they are missing a call (during a class or a meeting, etcetera). There is another obvious habit I have seen where some of us hastingly rush from a meeting, class, ceremony as if there 's an emergency, just to check cell for a missed call or missed text! Come on! This is ridiculous.
The use of cell phones has put some of us out of touch with each other in a genuine manner. Due to the fact that we can text or have easy access to call (or receive) with cell; we hardly vist each other or dialogue face -to-face. What are we doing to ourselves? Could we save our ears and our finger tips some of the pain? Some of us will sooner or later suffer from 'over-flattened' finger tips from over texting. I think this cell phone dilemma/craze is also preventing some of us from reading valuable forms of print media; as some people are so engulfed in reading cell phone texts.
My next discourse is with the abusive use of the cells at a certain volume; especially in public places. Some people talk way too loudly on the train, the bus, in an office, etcetera, while on their cell phones. Do you necessarily have to shout while talking on the cell? Can't th eother party on th eother end of th ecall hear? Honestly, no one wants to hear the conversation. At least show a little courtesy.
I can understand that some persons may have be certain situations where thay have to keep in touch with their children, other family memebers, or partners at certain occasions but we must control our use of the cell phones and NOT allow the CELL phones to CONTROL us. Afterall, someone will tend to the 'emergency' even if you did not get the call or the text. What's your take?
