News media can be varied in some weird, questionable ways at times. Some are known to be biased and a few can be trusted sometimes. Well, we as the audience, have the choice as to which to partake in or which to trust. Also we have a choice as to if we want listen or read any of them.
The report by Simon Jenkins on the Donald Trump issue with the golf coarse appeared to be a little suggestive and biased to me. The sole title of the report appears to fit the bias list.( Scotland's Gullible Politicians are the Victims of a Colossal Trump Try-on). What do you think about this title just by looking at it? Well, it suggested to me that politicians are greedy and gullible, Trump is manipulative, etcetera. The report emphasize Trump's riches and put forth the idea that he's splurging. Some sections of the report sounded to me as if he was openly against Trump's plans.( Maybe I misread; You could decide). The report on ABC news seemed a little less biased. It provided some stats, which the public may check if really interested. It appears to me that they tried to be objective in the report.
Well, as far as plagiarizing is concerned from his argument about being an environmentalist who,....I think pretty soon some other company or government agency may jump on it and probably try to create something. It's quite a possibility. Well I personally think that whatever is planned for the area, the community members should be properly informed as well as not be forced to agree. All the prospective planners need to explore, explore, research, research thoroughly and at least give the locals an opportunity to say their piece. What's your take?

Online News Sites credibility
Some of us are accustomed to news just being about propaganda, politics, music or crime. Well this can be one aim of some online news sites. However, there many news outside these leagues. Personally, I like the propaganda (excitement) sometimes but it can become boring and monotonous, for example, Britney Spears doing this or that, this rapper using the n word or the b word; you get the drift.
I like to read new information. As a parent and a student, I am always interested in news about development in education, baby world, teens, or new developments for teachers.(Sounds like a nerd, right?) I view news(online) on NewsFlash5 sometimes. This site has mainly encouragement for teens. It provides assistance to parents and teachers. This site assists teens and children overall in understanding current events and other societal issues and how these can impact their lives. I am also grateful that teens cab have access to a site which caters mainly to them with conscious and relevant stuff. It's very educational too. I encourage those of you who have not yet visited the site to check it out at http://pbskids.org/newsflashfive/about.html. My son loves this site!
One other online site I depend on for news is YAHOO!News. (http://news.yahoo.com/). Well, my homepage on my PC is set on YAHOO. Therefore, I automatically see news from this site. I read news here sometimes because of it's convenience to me.Apart from it being readily available to me, I tend to find the news there honest because most times I can go check the information at other sources to back up YAHOO! news.
Another news site I visit for news is MedicineNet.com (http:///www.medicinenet.com/script/main/hp.asp). Yes! There is medical news and educational news! I am big 'peever' of health. I am always interested in any health news. This site offers important, valuable information on the latest news about health. Being that we are humans and not machines, it is worth our while to be aware of the new diseases, regular food contaminations, diets, exercises, etcetera, so that we can try to keep healthy. The news on this site can be confirmed by varieties of health professionals or other health media. The use of this site for news about health helps me to save money because oftentimes we visit the doctor and PAY them to LISTEN to our problems or just to merely answer a simple question about our health! Many parents can also use this news site to get information about the child's health or the latest information about health issues which could possibly affect their child. Adults (like me), are always watching out for the latest news about how to improve my sex life ( Yes, I said SEX life). There's always something that I don't know yet.(The latter is worth trying because you can TEST to see if you get positive results).Check out this news site even if it's for the sole purpose of the latter.Enjoy!

American media outlets vs. Other International outlets in content, layout, political bias
Did you know that the ownership of media houses can affect its content or layout? For example, FOX is owned by a Republican, therefore, it broadcasts all the positives about?...Republicans! (You are correct!) Also many conservatives and Republicans work at FOX News Channel. Most of their News anchors previously worked with another nm=media outlet connected FOX. This channel broadcasts a lot of slander and propaganda. There are also few women workers in their broadcasts system. (Does this sound fair to you?) They sometimes ridicule people (protesters mainly.)One example, during 2004 Republican National Convention, Bill O'Reilly referred to some of the protesters as' terrorists.' FOX is also known for photo manipulation as well, where they take real photos and adjust them to suit their liking or their story. Hmm?
CNN has its own biases. It broadcasts news mainly about Republicans. It tends to leave out pictures of interest to the public. It clearly showed leniency to the Bush administration after the September 11 attack. Their news is too 'edited' to hide complete stories. Rick Kaplan served as president of CNN from 1997-2000.He's believed to be a personal friend of Bill Clinton, who was the President of the USA during Kaplan's tenure. (So... just as I imagined; bias again). Could this one of the reasons CNN's coverage on the Lewinsky/Clinton's scandal so insufficient and biased? Some reporters are openly biased as they interject their own opinions in broadcasts. The reporters can also be very controversial. One reporter called Jimmy Carter 'a waste of skin." This said reporter called the people who stayed in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina "scumbags". Huh? Yep, he did. How insensitive?!
January 2007, CNN used the name of the next President of the United States, oops!, I meant, Senator Barack Obama as a caption on a story about Osama Bin Laden! (Was this a 'mistake' or was it purposefully done? ) November 2005 CNN flashed a large 'X' over VP Dick Cheney's face during a speech that was aired live on CNN. They apologized claiming that it was a technical glitch. Really now. New York Times claimed that someone was fired from the operations room for the 'glitch.' Please! Can American mainstream media outlets be any more biased than this? I get annoyed at times when I try to view what's happening in this country on the News because I can't trust them most times. These American media outlets also relish in airing 'good' about America and oftentimes tarnished News about other countries.
Other international media outlets such as BBC and Corriere Della tend to be a little more fair in their broadcasts. BBC is privately owned and is funded by the license fee that is paid by UK households. It is governed by the BBC Trust, which represents the interests of licenses fee payers and sets the overall strategy. It's contents, layout, etc, is free from government intervention. The people have a say in what is aired. They try to air news which concern their audience. They also offer choices to their audience. These other international media outlets are more interested in informing and educating their audience about what affects them (the public) and their needs rather than highlighting propaganda and bias like the American media outlets. Is there a possibility that we could boycott these biased misleading media outlets in America? ( As if they would care about the few of us who decide to.)

China Hosting 2008 Olympics
What's all the blah blah about China hosting the 2008 Olympics in Beijing? Wasn't the venue long decided before the start of 2008? Why wasn't something done about it before the actual time of the games (if there are issues refuting the venue)? Is it important to question it's legitimacy now?
Are there particular criteria for deciding where the Olympics are held? If there are, please post them so that the public can have access to them next time. I believe that all this all this international spotlight may lead China to make many improvements in areas needed. Who the hell will be paying much attention to China's pollution, or human rights affairs during the games?! All normal people will be focusing on the games and the medals! (I hope so, because if not...).
My discourse is about foreign journalists not being allowed in the Stadium at certain times during the hosting. Why? Next, I am very annoyed about the thousands of citizens who were apparently evicted forcibly in and around Beijing to make room for the construction of the facilities for the Olympics. This I don't agree with. This is sad, especially if the victims were not compensated sufficiently.
Isn't there pollution EVERYWHERE? China has been condemned by some other nations to be very polluted. Well, despite this, China is considered to be a country with one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. At least give them some credit for that. China is a developING nation. This means then that there is room for improvement because they are a 'work-in-progress.' All developING nations have issues of some sort. (Matter of fact, even the developED nations have issues to contend with; some are even greater than China's.) Agree? Please, China can be given the chance to improve/prove themselves. Maybe the other nations that are concerned could try to provide assistance or the necessary resources that China will need to correct all the flaws being debated about them.
Some folks suggested boycotting the games. Hah! Wouldn't this be worse than having it in China? All the wasted training, disappointments and wastage of money and other valuable resources? We all would have been affected one way or another. What if the 2008 Olympics were being held somewhere else? Wouldn't there be new complains and contentions? I have a SUGGESTION. Please host the next Olympics in my hometown,...JAMAICA (West Indies)! Just as I thought...(new contentions?) Stop all the blah blah and get on with some action!
